Linear motors, linear motors, linear motors, linear motors, push rod motors, are only cut and unfolded to produce torque instead of the rotating shaft, but forces are generated by linearly moving loads. The linear motor uses magnetic levitation to move objects - so it doesn't slow down due to friction, and can actually achieve more precise control than mechanical options.

This is similar to the concept of a high-speed train linear motor suspended on a set of magnetic tracks, except that the forces generated are used in many ways in industry.


Types of linear motors

Linear motion can be achieved by several different motor designs. Although most designs use the force head for motion, either the force head or the track can move linearly to generate force, depending on the design. Although the concept of a linear motor is the same in all types, the forces, control forces, and efficiencies generated are different. There are three main types of linear motors

Cylindrical linear motor: These are some of the first commercial linear motors. However, because their length is inherently limited by design, they are no longer favored in the industrial field. The only support point is the end of the cylindrical rod, which means that if the motor design is too long, the magnet will come into contact with the pressure.

U-channel linear motor: These linear motors have two parallel magnetic rails facing each other, forming a U-shape, and the force is supported by a bearing system between the rails. This design is widely used because it minimizes flux leakage and thus improves efficiency.

Flat linear motor: These types of linear motors have flat rails under the press. There are several different versions of flat linear motors:

Slotless iron free flat motor: The linear motor consists of a series of coils mounted on an aluminum base. The lack of iron in the press means that the motor is not attractive. These motors provide good control, but the output force is very small.

Slotless flat iron motor: The only design difference from the above flat iron-free motor is that the coil of the motor is mounted on the iron lamination. This creates an attraction between the orbit and the force applicator, which increases the force generated.

Slotted flat iron motor: In this design, the coil is surrounded by a steel structure on the track. This creates a more concentrated magnetic field, which is what makes these types of flat motors the most powerful. But they wear out most easily with time.

Most linear motors are used in the manufacture of machine tools or semiconductor components in which their accuracy and speed can significantly improve productivity. The three types of linear motors listed above are the main motor designs used in industry.

Linear motor is a relatively new motor, but it has found a wide range of applications. The use of Maglev reduces wear, thus reducing downtime and maintenance frequency.
